PROJECT

The project

Designed and built between 1965 and 1973 by architects G. Brera, P. Waltenspühl and G. Berthoud, the Tourelle residential complex is widely regarded as part of Geneva's 20th-century architectural heritage.
The Tourelle shopping centre is very much a neighbourhood centre, hosting shops, restaurants and useful services that make it an indispensable amenity for its users. Although the centre offers a diverse range of stores, its design is outdated and no longer in keeping with its positioning as a part of a vibrant family-oriented community.
The renovation of the mall is aimed primarily at ensuring that La Tourelle continues to be an integral part of the neighbourhood, while creating a modern, friendly atmosphere.
