Meet SBS Management
NEWS
Stephane Burry, Director and Partner, SBS Management

SBS Management specializes in project leadership, technical oversight, and energy performance. Positioned as an agile alternative to larger construction firms, the company quickly became instrumental in optimizing the organization of the Tourelle Centre project. We spoke with Stéphane Burry, Director and Partner.

What is your role in this project?
We are an independent site management firm. Our role is to ensure that the project meets its quality, technical, financial, and scheduling targets.

At Tourelle Centre, we began working early with the developer to structure the planning and tender processes. Following the departure of the previous site manager, we took over the financial supervision and now co-direct the construction alongside d2 Architectes.

After more than two years, what’s your assessment?
It’s promising. Migros took possession of its premises in early April to begin fit-out. Luigia is fully operational, and the kebab restaurant is progressing well. By early July, several units will reopen: the cobbler, 5àsec, Nicolas, the Bouclettes hair salon, and the Post Office.

What makes this site so complex?
Several challenges. Managing construction alongside open businesses requires meticulous phasing. Some outdated infrastructure needed heavier interventions, including decontamination. We also carry out regular checks and adjustments to maintain high standards.

Do you have a clearer idea of the end date?
A lot depends on the tenants’ fit-out timelines. Still, we aim to complete the main works by late 2025 or early 2026.

A detailed schedule will be shared at the end of summer.

Any final words for residents and visitors?
We understand the disruption and thank everyone for their patience. Since early this year, we’ve reinforced the team to speed things up.

Starting this summer, the new face of Tourelle Centre will begin to take shape — brighter, more accessible, and more aligned with today's needs. Every effort is focused on creating a livelier and more welcoming community space.
